BMECat is the standard XML format for exchanging product catalogs between suppliers and buyers, developed by the BME (Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik). It defines a precise data structure for transmitting product information—including descriptions, prices, classifications, and technical attributes—in an automated and unambiguous way.

GMDE generates BMECat exports directly from Pimcore, ensuring that product data is complete, multilingual, and ready to be delivered to marketplaces, procurement portals, and customers' ERP systems.
